This project is developed to accomodate the community of New Haven, CT. The Stye of the building projects its function to the town and students. Developing a covered space to mirror the neighboring building allows for more inviting space. While studing precedents of the Whitney museum of New York City scale became a factor while designing. Creating sectionally rich areas in the core of the building was a simple focus to invite more people into the spaces. Users are presented with the feeling of more space and are comforted by the simplistic layout and vertical circulation of the design.
