Portfolio - Architecture/Design

WORKING LIFE

In this ever-expanding section you will find projects that I have collaborated on with architecture firms outside of the school setting.

5th YEAR STUDIO

A fully developed project which highlights all elements of the design process compacted into one semester. This C.A.P. studio shows the skills required for a multi use highrise building in a growing city with an attached park spanning across the adjacent highway.

Second semester which is a not a design project but rather a research based semester that focuses on the building envelope.

4th YEAR STUDIO

First semester shows my developed understanding of the micro-unit based on the AdAPT competition held in New York City last year.  The ultimate goal was to develop a modular housing project that also fit into the tight sight constraints as well as the process of designing the individual unit first.

3rd YEAR STUDIO

Presented with two unique projects, each semester, my third year work proves to be intricately detailed and strongly developed.

1st Semester demonstrated a connection between design and computational methods by linking a research center with methods from grasshopper the computer program.

2nd Semester was an interesting balance between site and context.  I was assigned to develop affordable housing for students, off campus with direct access to the new Blue Line train in Charlotte, NC. All while keeping the small town and art district vibe alive.

2nd YEAR STUDIO

1st Semester is the introduction to Autocad and digital drawing software in general with one design project dealing directly with the landscape of two distinct locations.

2nd Semester was the introduction of the Rhino software and introduction to 3D digital design. The one project all dealt heavily with pedestrian and customer interaction with the design.
